What’s the Rebate About?
This rebate is part of a government-backed program that helps homeowners lower the cost of installing a special type of dual fuel heating system. This system combines a high-efficiency gas furnace with an electric heat pump and a connected thermostat. It automatically switches between gas and electricity depending on the temperature which means you stay warm on the coldest days and cool on hot summer days without wasting energy.
Important Deadlines You Need to Know
This program is ending soon, and there are strict deadlines you’ll need to meet to qualify for the rebate.
If your system is installed on or before April 30, 2025:
- Your invoice must be dated on or before April 30, 2025
- The mobile app commissioning sheet (used during installation) must also be submitted by April 30, 2025
If your system is installed between May 1 – May 31, 2025:
- You must have a quote dated April 30, 2025 or earlier.
- You must show proof that you paid a deposit on or before April 30, 2025.
- Your invoice and the commissioning sheet must be submitted by May 31, 2025
The rebate application must be submitted within one year from the invoice date
Who is this for?
This rebate is available under two types of programs:
- Income-qualified program: Designed for households meeting specific income limits
- Home Renovation Rebate – Dual Fuel Program: Available for everyone else
